வினைமுதனா மாயின் விளைபயன் றுய்ப்போம்
வினைமுதலா ரென்று வினவித் — தனையறியக்
கர்த்தத் துவம்போய்க் கருமமூன் றுங்கழலு
நித்தமா முத்தி நிலை.
Jednáme-li s pocitem, že jsme činní, zakoušíme také výsledky svých činů. Poznáme-li však Já s pomocí pátrání „Kdo je činný?“, ego, pocit činitele zmizí a trojí karma odpadne. Pouze toto je stav věčného vysvobození.
If we are the doer of actions, which are like seeds, we shall have to experience the resulting fruit. But when, by enquiring ‘Who is the doer of actions?’ oneself is known, the sense of doership will disappear and the three karmas [agamya, sanchita and prarabdha] will also fall away [since the ego, the doer of the actions and the experiencer of their fruit, will no longer exist]. This indeed is the state of liberation [mukti], which is eternal.

Pokud jsme konajícími činů, jež jsou jako semena, budeme muset zakoušet výsledné ovoce. Když ale zkoumáním „Kdo je konající činů?“ poznáme sebe sama, pocit konatelství zmizí a tři karmy (agámíja, sánčita a prárabdha) také odpadnou (neboť ego, konající činů i zakušitel jejich ovoce, již dále nebude existovat). Toto je opravdu stav osvobození (mukti), který je věčný.

Aber forschen wir: »wer ist der Täter?« und erleben wir das Selbst,

zeitlos wie von jeher er bestand.
Považujeme-li se za konatele, musíme sklízet plody

Ale pátráme-li: „Kdo je konatel?“ a prožíváme-li Átmana,
Mizí představa „Jsem konatel“ se všemi svými
karmickými plody —
A to je stav věčné svobody.

As long as a man is the doer, he also reaps the fruit of his deeds, but as soon as he realizes the Self through enquiry as to who is the doer his sense of being the doer falls away and the triple karma is ended. This is the state of eternal Liberation.

Pokud jsme činitelem akce, zažijeme výsledné ovoce. Nicméně když člověk pozná zkoumáním, kdo je činitelem akce, činitel odejde a tedy vyklouzneme z vlivu trojí karmy. Toto je stav osvobození, který je věčný.
